You can't have your cake and eat it too. Most of the springs excel in different areas but none are the best in all.

Best springs for handling and performance seem to be the eibach's. The best as far as looks go are the sprints (they drop the car the most and seem to offer close to the performance of the eibachs). H&R will give you the softest, most stock like ride of all the springs but don't offer the performance of the eibach line.

Yeah it seems like a giant Catch 22. From someone who is looking hard for springs and shocks this is what Im gathering:

1) Whatever setup I choose, It wont ride as smooth as stock
2) H&Rs seem to have the softest ride, but still much harsher than stock. Some people say the drop (1.5) isnt enough.
3) Eibachs supposedly have the best performance but are deemed "harsh," yet most side-by-side reviews rank them just a tad harsher than H&Rs and not as many people say the drop isnt enough although Eibachs offer the same 1.5 drop as H&Rs.
4) Intrax are a little cheaper and offer a bigger drop (1.75) but are once again harsher than H&Rs or Eibachs.
5) Sprints are yet even cheaper and offer the biggest drop (2.0) but have a very harsh ride.

It sucks that a Maxima owner has to go through all of this just to eliminate that goofy 4x4 look, ESPECIALLY if that owner has 17s. It's a total trade-off,...I think I can handle a harsher ride if my car will look 100% better. Im sure I will get used to it. I just DONT want the ride to be SO harsh that everying in my car starts to rattle and my CDs skip. The hardest part is you can never know in advance how your car will feel with a new suspension because every car is different.

ST's are softer than H&R's but the drop is really minimal.

I dont think you will find the ride with H&Rs disagreeable at all. My sprints are definitely firm, but never unpleasantly so...

I have H&R's and I love the ride, It feels great. The drop may only be 1.5 but it will make the Max look much better then stock. With the H&R's not only will you get a nice decent drop but you'll also get a nice firm ride.
