I have a 97 gle and i have 18 inch rims on it and im just learning about modifications. well im was looking at h&r springs i was wondering if those are good or what might be better. also what else do i need to buy to lower my car?? just springs? and how much is a typical install? well i hope somebody can help me out.

Technically, all you need to lower the car are new springs. But, getting new struts at the same time is a good idea. The lower, stiffer springs will wear out the OEM struts pretty quickly.

A good price for the install is around $200 max. But, if you have reasonable skill with tools, you can do it yourself in about 3 hours. That's what I did.

I would say, whichever way you do it, just do it. You car will look and handle SO much better. You'll love it.

my max is still 4x4 height but it cost me $70 to lower my altima. i would change my shocks at the same time to save on the labor cost. my shocks on my alty blew out quick and rode like sh!t.
