Left headlamp won't aim down

I turn the screw and turn the screw but the headlamp does not shine any lower. The lens is being pushed outward, but it's not shining any lower. Am I going to have to take this thing apart? I don't wanna have to do that. But I get flashed from time to time and people constantly put their hands in front of their mirrors and stuff cause they think my high beams are on (even though only one beam is aimed higher and appears brighter). I feel so bad sometimes. Can't stand the thought of people thinking I'm a jerk.

There are two adjustment srews per headlight and are both located on the back of the headlight inside the engine compartment. The screw closest to the radiator controls left/right adjustment. There is another screw that is lower on the headlight towards the center of the light that adjusts the up/down. Hope that helps.

This is exactly opposite what the Haynes manual says. Well, Haynes says close to radiator is the vertical and the fender is horizontal. Maybe I read wrong. I'll try it the other way. I'll have to get another tool or move the battery to get to the one close to the fender. Thanks, though.

Yeah, I followed the Haynes and was running into the problem you were. I then tried the other screw and it worked. Maybe the Haynes is different on some models because it's definitely backwards on my 97. After readjusting it made all the difference in the world.

Btw, for the one close to the fender, just use an open-ended wrench or 1/4 socket. Worked for me.
