I dought that will do. Try reseting your ECU manually.
It is located by the gas pedal. Take the black cover off it is held with 2 clips. Dont worry it wont break. When removed u will see silver box with a whole in it. Take a flat screw driver and break the seal. Be very gental. Now put ur key in to ACC so that the Check engine light is on. Turn the screw inside the Ecu slowly clockwise wait 2 seconds and twist it back. Do not force it. Now the check engine light will flash with short and long blinks. Find the trouble codes on this forum or maxima faq. Record the #. To reset the ECU just twist the screw again clockwise and back. Vola Your done..

You dont have to break the seal, you can just peel a little of it back, just incase you ever have "dealer issues."

Just take a flathead, turn the screw to the right all the way till it cant be turned any further, wait for 3 long seconds, turn it back to its starting position and repeat the first step again. Turn your car off. When you turn it on the ML light should be off.

Good Luck.

Are you sure it's "ACC" or should it be turned onto the "On" position? Does it screw up your ECU or blow a fuse in the wrong position or does it not matter? Anyone ever try turning clockwise/counter clockwise without the 2 seconds?

Did you seriously have to bring back an 8 year old thread to ask a question that's answered in the stickies, and even has a video made to show you how it's done?
