car stalls in reverse in cold weather(sometimes)

Recently in the cold my car likes to stall in reverse. As soon as i shift into R (auto Transmission) it completely shuts off the dummy lights come on. Then i have to put it into park and start it again and it works fine. Any ideas what could be causing this im pretty sure that the tranny is perfect. I have a stage 2 Valvebody from jeff at maximum tuning. I also have a geforce ecu. The shifts are perfect and show no signs of sliping. I have the egr code 0302. Im not sure if this would cause the problem im having.

Dirty IACV or sticking IACV solenoids most likely... shifting into R puts an extra load on the tranny - the IACV should compensate for that, but it isn't able to.

nope no CELS except 0302 the egr valve. Are bad drop resistors found often in our cars ? THats the thing found on the driver side strut tower right.

No - not what I would consider a common problem, and Yes on the location.

Oh, I'm also not sure if a clogged EGR passage (which is why you have 0302 most likely) would cause an idling problem... it may... I'll need to look into how/when the EGR valve is supposed to open up.

ive replaced the solenoid twice and still no luck so i guess i have no choice but to remove the intake manifold hehe. It is actually a weird proble, at stops sometimes the idle raises to about 900 and stays steady their untill i come to another complete stop. Sometimes it constantly stays on 900.

The EGR problem is clogged passages...

The idle problem is sounding more and more like a sticking IACV/solenoids in the IACV. Just pull it all apart and clean it... (intake cleaner or whatever)

You can remove each solenoid from the other side and clean out the plungers...

Remove screws, clean out.

/End of Guide

Just kidding.. no guide that I know off, but I can take a peek tomorrow (I have a spare one in the garage that I'm too lazy to go get).

Just shoot me a PM to remind me.

No - don't mess with anything on that side except removing that brass (or whatever) hat and cleaning all that out.

There are a few screws on the other side with all the connectors that you can pull and clean.
