Help in need of a alignment...but can't!

Last year I installed some Tein HR springs w/ Tokica Illumina shocks. Now my alignment is completely messed up since I installed new CV Joints. I can't get an alignment b/c I don't have adjustible Camber kits installed...so Im looking for a good pair...I don't really autocross, but I do have a lead foot. Could someone recommend a set so I can finally get an alignment. Also Ive noticed my backend starting to give more. Im not sure if its just the springs already failing or if its my bushings...could someone also recommend a good set I can get or if its not even worth my time...Thanks

You dont need a camber kit to align...

ture not not always true.

if ur car is sitting too low and getting negative camber, get urself a pair of eibach camber kit. they are like $30 at tirerack i believe. but if ur toe is in spec, and the camber is close to spec, u should be fine as well.

yeah... just buy the eibach camber bolts... or go to autozone and get some. They are all the same, but be sure to tell the guy do ing your alignment that you have the camber bolts because 99% of the time they just look at the computer which tells them nissan specifies no camber adjustment.

I'm running S-techs and camber was at the Max allowed. -1.0 I just adjusted the toe and tire wear has been normal.

well let me elaborate a little bit more...I went to a total of 4 shops...the only shop that would even touch the car stated that the car needed those camber bolts to do an alignment correctly...I have no problem going out and buying a pair...is there any write up for installation? Also I haven't heard anything back as far as the bushings....any feedback is great

17mm and 19mm socket and 3' brake bar.

its very simple.

Jack up the car
Take off wheel
Put 19mm wrench on one end, and put 17mm socket (on a brake bar) on the other end and un bolt.

reverse install for new bolts.

Should take 15mins tops.

Being out of spec on toe (after a susp. swap) has been the only thing to give me aggressive wear.

Hell yea out of spec Toe will eat up some tires. I will be posting pics tommorow but my alignment specs were crazy

Yeah, 1st and last time I go more than a day without the damn alignment.

MDeezy Mar 14, 2006 10:04 PM

Amen to that, with a lifetime alignment, I shall be in spec always

Lube-techs and wheel/tire techs will be befuddled with your setup, I know because I've been there :)

MDeezy Mar 14, 2006 10:33 PM

they were, when aligning, they called asking what type of Struts I had.

Took them about 15mins to get the car off the stand! I need to raise the rear.

Any descent alignment shop would be able to get a set of camber bolts, if needed, to align your car. They work on front ends all day.........
Find a shop that gears more twards performance. Drop the car off and tell them to set the front toe. Your camber should be just fine with a Tein drop.
