Bose Amplifier....where's Waldo?
Finding this amplifier has become harder than finding Waldo!!!! I had read that it was under the rear cover by the middle brake light and the two rear speakers. So I take the whole back apart, seat, pillar covers, rear cover, rear light, and it's not there. I have a Bose system and the rear speakers stopped working. Since the speakers are in good condition, I thought it might be the amps. Where is it? My rear speakers have a black plastic cover attached to the bottom (magnet) that you can get to from the trunk. I looked in there too and it looks like circuitry but doesn't look like an amp. Is that it?

The bose speakers have built in amps:deezo:.

So then the amps are the circuits inside the black plastic covers on the bottom of the speakers. Thanks.

Can you repair these amps in any way? I'm getting no sound from my rear speakers. The started to go little by little until no sound came out one day.

generally bose need to be replaced. I'd reccomend just getting new speakers.

Anyway, for the original poster, here is how I fixed mine: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=447116 |
