Passenger seat won't go back up
 

So my buddy hopped into my car and immediately the back of the seat tilted back to almost halfway down to the backseat. It clicks into place back there but it won't click when I try to push it back up. The recline handle stays up too until it clicks back into the recilined position. How do I fix this?
