They can rip away from our mufflers after 11 years of Nebraska winters. I had mine rip off of my muffler last night. It F****** sucks. I Now sound like a ricer with a HUGE fart cannon. I'll try to get some pics tonight to post up.

seems like my muffler rusted first on my 98 which was a chicago car, and the muffler was starting to rust through on my 99 which spent most of its life in Hawaii, both b-pipes seemed fine, i guess i'm just getting lucky

Mine just broke last night! I was driving along and heard this noise and I was like "Who the hells car is that???" Then I realized that I was all alone! Looks like a trip to CarX.

I'm really glad I bought low mileage used ones from the classifieds. My exhaust is all but falling apart. The aftermarket stuff is either crap, or has to be all welded together by a shop.
The guys down south often have perfect exhaust parts, but just pitch them when they get new stuff installed. They really should take the time to wrap them up and sell them.

I am looking to just get an aftermarket on b/c I think that part of it was that there was some backpressure in the B and that contributed to the blowing of it.

All exhaust is going to rust out sooner or later... you should be happy yours lasted 11 years. Mine got a nice big hole in it after 8 years. But that gave me a nice excuse to buy the sp2.
