tokico HP's and springs for $443? good? or GR2/STECHS?
im in need of new springs and shocks/struts. ive been searching for a good deal as cheap as i can get and i was wondering if tokico HP's and springs for $443 was a good deal or not? i saw the same package on another site that said the drop was only 1", which i wish was a little bit more. (http://www.importrp.com/product.php?...&cat=76&page=1)
i was also looking at gettin some S-Tech's and KYB GR2's which came out to about the same price and gave me about a 1.5"drop. (GR2's off redlinemax and S-tech's k2motor.com) which setup do you think would be better? |
dont get those pos gr2... they are stiffer than hell... ihave them and i regret getting them

i heard GR2s fail easy with aftermarket springs

AGX springs are stiff in cold weather. Try the Tein H-Tech springs with Tokico HP struts. THe All-Tokico setup is nice, and really drops more than just 1", if it is the real Tokico setup. There is a write-up on the org main page (or at least there used to be).
Tein S need an adjustable strut, if you want the struts to last. With the AGX, it will be a pretty rough ride. The Illuminas will be a bit better, but the cost is substantial. I recommend the Tein H and Tokico HP from personal experience on 3 different Maximas. |
You could just go with a coilover kit, I'm thinking about getting Tein BASIC's. And as far as the drop goes, they are adjustable from 1.7"-3.6" drop up front and 0.1"-2.9" drop in back
Then again its not really cost effective, cheapest I've found it about $770 |
