What's the Offset of your wheels, size, and brand?? post pics if you got em

I hate how my rear rims sit inward on the rear of the car, I wanna get a rim where is sits almost flush with the body, I'm not sure what the best offset for that is... I was thinking somewhere between 25mm and 35mm offset....but then the problem is how it will look in the front... I know some companys sell rims packages with diff offsets for front and back rims, but they are hard to come by...

It's very hard to find a nice looking, clean rim that goes with the body style of our maximas..its even harder to find that rim with a good width and with a good offset! .... so I wanna see what kind of rims everyone is running.. PLEASE POST SIZE, OFFSET, AND PICS IF YOU HAVE THEM..

I've thought about wheelspacers but I dont feel like messing around with that crap, as safe as people say it is, I still dont feel safe having spacers between my rotor and rim

ThisMaxIsTight Aug 8, 2006 04:34 PM

my wheels are no names from ebay ... they are 17x7.5 and have a 42 mm offset..they look great in person ... the front sits flush with the body but the backs sit inward

NmexMAX Aug 8, 2006 04:41 PM

Get spacers if you want front and rear to sit evenly and flush.

MaximaSE96 Aug 8, 2006 05:23 PM

spacers are fine I track my car with spacers...the lugs stay as tight as can be...i got 20mm spacers son Enkei RSF-2s 17x7.5 43mm offset hence the spacers....

20mm spacers!...dayum thats more than an inch ... have pics ???

I mite have to go with spacers .. knowing that u track the car and they still stay tight makes me feel a lot better ... what kinda spacers u running ??

RA030726 Aug 8, 2006 05:26 PM

37mm offset is good, then add some 15mm spacers out back. I have 42mm offset 18x8 and there is room to go out further. Poowill has 37mm Volks.

ThisMaxIsTight Aug 8, 2006 05:31 PM

what kinda spacers/studs are you guys using ??

ThisMaxIsTight Aug 8, 2006 05:50 PM

..... spacers/studs brand??

Fre$h_TurK Aug 8, 2006 05:51 PM

heyya... umm i just got 18" mille miglias ... and 235/40/18 falkens... do i have to change brakes now?? ... (i dont drive crazy i just like to cruise :D)

ThisMaxIsTight Aug 8, 2006 05:53 PM

ummm wtf does that have to do with my thread .. no u dont need new brakes ... get out

Realtight Aug 8, 2006 06:08 PM

Have the new 6 star 18's found on the '06 maxima's which are 18X7.5" with a 40mm offset. I think they look great w/o being too flashy. The fronts are almost perfectly flush, but the back still set in a little bit...

where could I get new spacers? I never even knew you could get them to even the wheels out.

JRD Roc Aug 8, 2006 07:29 PM

nice pics guys

ManualMaxFan Aug 8, 2006 08:03 PM

19X8 w/ +40mm. I think they look good. No rubbing, ever. Need to get off my butt and donate so I can post pics.

ManualMaxFan Aug 8, 2006 08:06 PM

Tire Rack has 19X8 SSR GT7-H in silver with +40mm for $199 each right now. They are super light for 19" and I think they look good on a 4th gen.

Cdg2125 Aug 8, 2006 09:14 PM

ThisMaxIsTight Aug 11, 2006 05:06 PM

Poowill Aug 13, 2006 12:40 AM

Agree with Jstutter, 37mm for up front and adding a spacer to the rear would be perfect...

37mm, no spacers.

chicken-n-rice Aug 13, 2006 04:17 AM

VIP Maxima Aug 13, 2006 11:41 PM

4DRSpeed Aug 14, 2006 05:25 AM

17x7 42mm offset.

Have 20MM H&R spacers. With my drop I should probably get them milled down some I rub on some dips or big bumps.

[QUOTE=VIP Maxima]19x8 with +45 and no spacers YET (yes i hate how my rear rim sits as well)

Hey, sorry if this is somewhat off topic, but did you have to get a hub kit for those rims? I actually JUST bought those rims, and noticed afterwards that the bolt spacing is different?

cardana24 Aug 14, 2006 08:11 AM

I have 19x8.5 with a +38 offset, and they do not rub at all

on my other fourth gen I have 18x8 with a +35 offset and they do rub (235/40 tire) if I go over big dips/bumps...I think if I roll the fenders they will be just fine.

MaximaSE96 Aug 14, 2006 08:31 AM

wheelspecs.com.....all your wheel info

Apparition Aug 14, 2006 08:55 AM

Had SSR Comps 16x8 with 38mm offset with 15mm spacers in back as JS. said looked amazing tell someone stole them off my car. (They had the same damn wheel lock key!!) luck FTL.
