car has been jerking/bucking in first gear

is it natural for the car to jerk/buck back and forth at low rpm's in first gear? I usually notice when in first gear, I give the car a little acceleration to 4000rpm and while winding down, it starts bucking @2000rpm. When I think back, it's been doing this for a long time now which makes me think that maybe this is normal for a 5-spd 1st gear. Does this sound normal?

well to leave it in first gear is not always the wisest of choices, but i thnk it's normal. Don't do it to much, when it's time to let off the gas, i clutch it right away...only in first gear though

It's a torque-monster. Yes, it bucks. How are your engine mounts?

a) when car stops at red light - on green I try to accelerate - the car stutters - some timnes keeps going - sometimes stalls and stops.

b) Start car - put in neutral - can rev engine no problems. Then put into drive -
see a)

And what the fcuk does this have to do with anything. There's a post for your newbie crap.

As far as the bucking, it is normal, and I agree why are you letting it wind down in 1st? it's not necessary, either clutch and put it in neutral or upshift.
