!!!Fidanza & SPEC Stage 1 Setup HELP!!!
 

Whats up guys. I recently had Jeff @ Maximum Tuning install a fidanza flywheel and a SPEC stage 1 on my 96 Maxima. I would appreciate if any of you with the same setup can give me your input. It feels weird to me. First of all, the clutch grips almost at the top. Higher than my stock, which took alot of getting use to. Also, I have already put 360 miles on the setup and today, I had to gun it alittle from 1st to 2nd getting onto a highway, and it felt like it was slipping. Now, Im not sure if it was slipping or if the wheels were spinning but the steering wheel didnt really move as much, like it normally would if I was chirping gears. Also, sometimes I smell a burning type of smell. It seems to be fading away but, at first, it was kinda like burnt clutch. This is not my first 5 spd car so it's not like I'm screwing something up!!! Does anyone know anything about getting a new setup like this?! Any experiences?!:scratch:

Since its a new clutch, you may have to get under there and adjust the clutch. If it was slipping, it may be too far OUT and not holding all the way, resulting in a slip when you give it juice. You should be waiting at least 800 miles before you go and give any type of throttle.

It should be gripping on the lower 1/3, as you come up with the pedal.

It is definitely not gripping in the lower 1/3!!! Jeff @ maximum tuning said these clutches should not be adjusted since it is a hydraulic clutch. I dont know too much about this, that'w why i'm posting my concerns here.. Thanks alot for helping!!!:clap:

Hydraulic clutches are not adjustable, however, you can adjust your pedal height by turning that pain in the rear screw behind the pedal. trust me you will sweat doing this, but i would recomend bleeding your clutch line first and drive it for a while before screwing with that adjustment. you can bleed the clutch from the line located above the starter.

Is bleeding a clutch the same as bleeding brakes. Are theere any write ups? AAlso, I noticed that the clutch fluid was at minimum.. Wouldl that have anything to do with it?
