I was looking up how to fix my OEM Bose stereo system because it sometimes will not work and the display goes out at the same time it quits working.

I remembered finding a post here a long time ago discussing that. Well after researching this I indeed found it again but when I tried to see how to actually remove the pieces that surround the stereo, I found this link wanting me to pay. This is the first time I have ever seen something like this....

Here is the link: http://www.carstereoremoval.com/htm/...xima95_99P.htm

nothin free in the world. just take off the vent piece, two screws hold the brackets on top. then you take off your shifter surround piece (if it's an auto, put the shifter to 1 *ebrake* and you'll be able to pry the shifter piece around it. d/c the cig lighter. i think there are 3 screws on teh bottom. and then you pull out your climate and bose in one unit. not hard at all.

Yup I used that page to learn how to disassemble everything to install my stereo. Sucks that they are charging for it now. Just PM anyone who's got a stereo upgrade. It's really quite easy. I'm probably gonna take mine apart today to install a second flip-down door storage dealy. :-)

Well, I have taken mine apart about 6 times in the past month. Long story short, I was thinking, just not the most efficient way.

Anyway, when I pick up my new climate control, I will make a tutorial on how to remove the center dash and parts. I will try to get it up by mid week.

i used that site 2 years ago when i first got my car to figure out how to take the dash off...they've always charged in terms of fixing radios. nothin new. as for the "we charge", no...we dont charge...carstereoremoval.com charges
