Strut boots don't have a lot to do with squeaking...
Spring isolators are the primary squeak preventer, but if you need spring isolators, I can get you the part number.

Are you on stock or aftermarket suspension? Do you need them for the front, rear, or both?

You may not be able to get them TODAY. Most of the time they have to be ordered.

there are orange gaskets that sit on top of the struts. people often forget to replace those. Often the cause of squeaking. 54329n for the front, 55338 for the rear. http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=491906&page=2

your mechanic is referring to 54050m for the front and 55340 for the rear.

If the noise is in the front, I bet you need the upper strut mount. I was cheap when I put my springs and struts on and did not replace them. A few mths later I developed a squeak in the right front over bumps. it got worse over time. Upper strut mount solved problem.

yeah, my mech used all old crap. Nobody would want to take everything apart again to put those in :(
