Question about Center Bore
Hey guys, I recently picked up a set of wheels from a local guy with an RSX. Judging by the specs (17x7, +40 offset, 5x114.3), I thought they would fit just fine.
Unfortunately, the fronts fit (minus center cap), however the rears would not clear the hub center because the Maxima one was too big for the hole on the wheel. I chalked it up to my carelessness/error, and resold that set of wheels.
Now I'm in the market for wheels again, so I went to research our center bores a bit. The Maxima is listed as 66.1mm, but the RSX is listed as 70.3mm. How did the wheels come off of a car with a larger bore, only to not fit on my '99 Maxima?
So my question is, other than the obvious WTF, would be related to the center hub on the rear wheel. Obviously it looks different than the front, is it some sort of cover that I can remove/dremel down/etc?
I'm looking at some wheels with a center bore of 2 5/8" (66.675mm), so unless I'm misunderstanding they SHOULD fit.
Wow, that was long winded. Any insight is appriciated!

I've never run into an aftermarket wheel with a center bore that small, but apparently I found one haha. ADR Fuels = , they would've looked good too!
