SFC's are available!!!
|
Come on guys we need more people to jump these.

In terms of bang for the buck, subframe connectors are the single biggest improvement you can make to a 4th gen Maxima, bar none. In my opinion these beat out even a Y-pipe in bang for the buck because they totally transform the car instead of just giving you a few extra HP. Anyone who dislikes the rough, rattle-box feel of their 4th gen should be all over this group deal.
Threads with more info about SFCs (Warpspeed no longer makes them but Truax Motorsports is now making even better SFCs): http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=359962 http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=446695 http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=425928 |
I'd be on it sooner if they didn't cost that much.:wall:

What part of "best bang for the buck" didn't you understand? :smash:
Seriously, the cost of materials alone for SFCs like this would be about $300, not to mention the fabrication work, which of course Truax has already done for the kit. $300 is cheaper than a catback, and about half the price of a decent suspension. |
"In any high-performance car, it is impossible to make the chassis too stiff. The stiffer the chassis, the higher its natural frequency, making the energy imparted to it by bumps less likely to excite the body's structure. A stiffer chassis enables the use of stiffer springs and shocks without hurting the ride. This is because a stiff, non-flexing chassis transfers more force into the suspension where it can be dissipated by the springs and shocks instead of transferring the force to the occupants. A stiff chassis is also more responsive to roll rate tuning for balancing understeer and oversteer. This is one of the reasons why automotive engineers are continually investigating ways to stiffen chassis without adding weight."

bump, because more 4th gens (and 5th gens) need these. Comeon people, show some support to Truax for making them so they don't go away like WS did.
For the price of a ricey muffler or a new amp you can get something that will REALLY make you love to drive your car..... |
