Various Minor Issues

Well, for a little while now, my car has been having intermittent minor issues. Like starting for instance. Occasionally, my car has trouble starting. It takes a good 5-8 seconds for it to turn over. Sometimes, it will start and die, and then just crank over real quick and stay on. The starter, battery, spark plugs and belts are brand new so I've pretty much ruled out those things. Another issue is an occasional high idle. Like 1-2k when warm. Sometimes it goes back down after some driving or turning it off and restarting it, sometimes, it doesn't. Another thing is does sometimes, quite unrelated, but when in first gear (5spd BTW), when taking of normally the car seems to die down REALLY quick. I'm not talking about bogging, I mean like I have to quickly depress the clutch for it not to cut off.

Anyway, I summed my problems up as best I could and hopefully someone has some answers. And before anyone asks, I do not have ANY CEL's. But my CEL has not come on in the 2 years I've had the car, and I'm actually under the impression that the bulb might be blown. I will be taking it to get scanned as soon as I get the time. Anyway, thanks for any and all help anyone can offer.

That actually occurred to me the other day. Small thing that every time I do maintenance usually slips my mind. Car has 104k on it, and has probably never been replaced. But I'll be doing that today. Thanks.

Oh, I'm not but weither it fixes the problem or not, this is a something that I need to do anyway that I always seem to forget. And with a few other things, that was one of the things I figured could be an issue.
