Need add'l advice on EVAP CEL: P1447/0111 and P1445/1008
 

I've searched through and found http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=104931 to be very informative, yet I'm still having trouble. :gotme:

The codes being thrown in my 1996 Maxima SE are P1447 (0111) and P1445 (1008). They are EVAP related, the most specific of which (P1445) identifies the Canister Purge Volume Control fault. The above mentioned thread suggests troubleshooting under the hood, just forward of the point on the firewall that the serial numbers are. It identifies that structure as the EVAP Canister Purge Volume Control Valve with 2 hoses and an electrical connector. However other links here indicate that the EVAP system is behind the driver's left tire. Kevlo911 had great information in his 2003 posting, but it identified the connector to the under-hood EVAP cannister purge volume control valve as having 2-leads. Assuming I have not identified the wrong item, it has FOUR leads as part of the one connector.

Someone who's trod this path before, please pass along some advice...
