Mustang Cobra covertible- couldn't hang!!!
 

I was turning right onto a main street and this Cobra convertible was behind me..I waited until he got on the road, until I knew he had gotten on it, and then floored my car and he could not hang, I was gaining distance. It wasn't a new Cobra, but the body style before that one. I was expecting him to pass me and leave me in the dust, but instead I was gaining! He waved at me when I turned off, I'll bet he thought he was gonna smoke me.

Yes I am sure it was a Cobra, and I'm sure he got on it because he chased me to the point where I made that turn and he couldn't hang then either. I know he was trying.

No that's just the way the flash reflected on the bumper I guess.

If its not the 4.6 liter then its just the old 5.0 liter that puts out ~245 HP for 93-95 cobras. In 96 on they had 305 HP and it would be hard to hang with one of those unless you got some power adders.

Those Cobras are faster. The decals add 50hp alone.

In fairness though the Convertible makes them the slowest made ones that year. Not HP wise but just alot of extra weight for the ragtop.
