Personally i think that comment was not well thought out. I think what he means is chrome wheels as in those FUGLY wheels you see on escalades/navigators. Personally ive seen some VERY nice chrome wheels, and personally i think polished/chrome wheels look very good on certain cars and colors. For example, black maxima with black rims and a small polished lip looks sick, but that is my opinion, others may differ.

Oh I know, I'm not too worried what other people think. Let them drool or not. I'm drooling over them. I think they would look great on a Maxima, I'm not worried about the price either. I can afford them, so I will get them. I can't wait to get them in!

I really hope you are not planning on spending $6000 on HREs not to mention tires. There are plenty of brands and models out there that cost much less. Check iforged as well. There are sponsors that are having specials on a different forum too.

But if you must have the exact same model as me, go for it! Just remember, you are not going to have the same lip on your Maxima

Haha, lots of people have the same rims. And I am planning to spend $6000, I like them, I looked at all the other series and these just stuck out. I saw the brand a few years ago when I first started getting into cars, but I could never remember the name. Plus, its only money. And I know that there are plenty of brands and models out there, but if I wanted a different brand or model then I would have chose one of those.

But I like these ones alot, and I won't be persuaded otherwise. Alot of people think spending that kind of money on rims is dumb. But until you see what I have planned and what is currently being done to this car, then we will see. I can also afford to buy $6000 rims, if I didn't then I probably wouldn't be buying some.

Sorry I'm going to have the same rims as you, you have good taste. But I'm sure we won't be the only 2 people with these rims...maybe on this forum. But there are other people surely...

I hope everyone will enjoy them on my maxima, because I sure will. I'm spending alot more on my car than I did for my car. Reason is; I really love Maximas. I was going to buy an 04 BMW Kompressor 325i for $30,000. But I wouldn't be upgrading it as much as my Maxima. Maxima's look really nice done up. And I think these rims would make my maxima different than all the other maxima's out there.

This is a show-quality car, it must have the parts and looks of one to win.

Is there any reason other then that you have these rims I should not get them? And or get a different brand?

Thank you however for the advice. It seems there are 2 sides; One side-Get the rims, and the other side-Don't get the rims. I'm on my side, get the rims.

I don't care if you get the same model. I'm not a big fan of chrome but I couldn't pass these up. I had a set of Iforged Swifts but I've sold them. I bought these set and I'll probably end up selling them in a year or two. I just like different look on my car.

Once again, you can't get the same lip size as mine since these are for my Bimmer. Depending on the offset you get, you'll proably have about 1" or 1.5" lip on your rims. Mine is 3.5"? Take a look at some pictures

Oh I know the lip size won't be the same. But my fenders are going to be flared, so the lip will be out more.

By the way, the beamer is hot. The HRE's look great on it.

i'm gonna ride the fence on this one.

on 1 side, hre's are sick. forged multi-piece with custom widths, offsets, colors etc. there are other brands that i prefer that have the same features, but if you love that style its all good.

on the other side; the application. i am all about pay to play, but even i won't spend $5k on wheels for the max. when i was looking for high-end rims for it i was limiting myself around $3k. in the end i found a couple options in the $1000-1500 range that i liked. the rims i was looking at were also more appropraite for the max. hre's are usually associated with euros and high-end sports cars.

so it all comes down to do what you want, but i'm going to say this: if you put hre's on an a32 your max better keep up with your rims. also, if your gonna talk about it so much you better be about it. i would keep quiet, do my research, buy the wheels, and THEN show off.

i'm gonna leave the mbmw thing alone...

Thats the way it was shown on the dealers car list, so that was the way I typed it out. So I made an error. Big deal. So did the dealership.
