painters tape over the holes could work. Also maybe a garbage bag cut to make a long strip to cover the holes then tuck either end into the trunk. Hope one of those two work.

thanks but i was thinking of a week or two. do you think that will hold. its starting to get cold here.

markd248 10-26-2007 08:51 AM

Well the painter's tape should hold, if you just carry a roll around with you that should work fine and hold for long enough.

hahha i just got another idea, it's very wierd and I have no idea if it'll work or if it'll cause damage to the paint, but you know those glade press n seal things? you could try that out too.

a pack of bubble gum never fails.

lol dont really care about the paint, i am going to get a new trunk lid.

:jump:

So I say try the press n seal or the painters tape. Both should work, but you'll probably have to replace them every so often. And if you don't care about the trunk snypa has a point that gum could work. I was trying to think of solutions that wouldn't hurt the paint. So realistically any tape will do the job.

Fill the holes with JB weld or some other kind of sealant.

markd248 10-26-2007 10:21 PM

What'd you end up using?

alcatranz518 10-26-2007 10:41 PM

Duct Tape...:bowdown1: It fixes everything...you said you don't care about the paint, right? Just make sure the surface is clean and dry before you put it on, it won't let water in.

A little silicone in the holes will solve your problem, and it's easy to peel out of the holes later on.
