anyone know anyone with a 45 offset set of rims?

Well do yea punks....:o

To make this thread worthwhile to avoid teh lawk by the Kevlo...

Im wondering if we can get some more stickies like the 5th gen forum...

I had 17x7 +45 and they sit about the same as my 17x8 +40's.

Had 225/45/17 all around, and never had any rubbing issues what so ever. Although i think they could have used a 5-10mm spacer on the rears to bring them more flush. Actually perhaps even a 5mm spacer in the front would have made it look more flush.

I am in this thread.

:squint: define "sit the same."

96blkonblkse 11-18-2007 12:07 PM

In terms of how they sit in relation to the fender. I would say both could use a small spacer to bring them out so they sit more flush. But my +40's seem to sit more flush. I attribute that to the slightly lower offset.

What are you retarded? The 8s stick out an additional 18mm

How dare you talk about this in MY thread...:o

Im still thinking noobs would read the stickies more if they were all spread out like other forums...

96blkonblkse 11-18-2007 08:58 PM

My rims did NOT stick out an additional 18mm..they would have been way outside the wheel well if they did lol. I was reffering to the distance to make it sit flush with the fender..

Given i never did really compare the 2, when i sold the 7's i basically swapped rims so i didnt have time to compare the 2.

But i am going to stop here. I dont want to whore up the OP's thread. Continue mazivart.

Edit- rather then posting again, you know it might have actually, cuz the 17x7's sat in the fender id say maybe a little more then the stockers cant really tell you for sure though.

If you think about it the 8s are wider and have 5mm less offset so they did sit 18mm closer to the edge of the fender than the 7 +45s. 1" is aprox 26mm so 1/2 of that 8 vs 7 is 13mm + 5mm from the offset diff and you have 18mm.
Also keep in mind "flush" is subjective, it depends on the person looking at it.

People must be missing the question of this thread....:bawling:

hectorc 11-19-2007 11:54 AM

Just look at any car with 17" Nissan rims from 02-06. They are all +45 offset

I get it.....I guess today I'm not in one of those moods. I see this as a waste because some people are actually looking for an answer in this thread.

Me too....No one is answer the real question of the thread...

z32drifter 11-19-2007 06:11 PM

Too answer the Question.

I have 16x7.5 +45 (Z32 wheels) They fit fine and clear the Z32 front brakes. I think they are kind of weak considering the room under a 4th gen. Other offsets when picked correctly allow the use of much larger wheels and tires (I'm talking wider, not stupid 20+ sizes)

Do you mean any maxima from 02-06 or any Nissan? 17" Z wheels are not +45.

That was read, but it should be PM'd to the 4th gen moderators instead of posting another thread. It was a dumb title to begin with, and misleading to many that don't have a clue or know how to read.

Is ok...I was trying to inject some OT humor into this forum...That and make fun of the astromicalness retardedness that has betaken the 4th gen forum in the past year.
