Don't get them. They will be about as bright as stock if they are really 8500K and they will produce way more heat.

the ebay one is worthless. the one from autodynamic looks good. i usually build my own, but the price there is not terrible and can save you some trouble.

but at 8500k you won't get much usable light...i would stay away from that myself but i understand a proper HID system is not for everyone.

I had Mtec 100/80 on stock harness, I think the color temp was 6000. My personal opinion is 8500k is lame. It's so blue, it'd get you in trouble with law enforcement in certain areas here in Los Angeles. Plus, it's useless in rain and fog.

Regarding overwatting, I didn't have a problem with it. I used di-electric grease on the contacts to keep heat to a minimum. Resistance can cause heat, so minimize heat, and you won't be melting anything.

I got sylvania silverstars in mine and they look just fine. I wanted HIDs but I'll be damnded if I'm spending $400 on lights while I have so many other things to fix

I've fried too many harnasses doing this crap, just use what is recommenced. The most you'll get out of higher wattage bulbs is better snow melt on your headlights during s storm.

or you could switch over to a 9007 bulb and re-wire the harness. 55watts low as opposed to 45 on the 9004.

The risks of running higher wattage bulbs completely outweighs the benefits.
