Fender Liner Mods?

Just wanted to know for those who have lowered their cars to a point where the tire rubs against the fender liner what options are there to regain enough clearance so the tire clears the lining? Really I think there's 2 options, to leave it on and hack it up or leave it off completely and re-route the wiring.

Anyone else who's lowered a lot actually rub the lining as well?

I have no answer yet as I will lower my car this weekend, but what springs did you get?

take it out or hack it up. the most important part is right in front of the door jamb. without that you will get water/dirt in your door sill.

another option may be heating the plastic and reshaping it, although i dont know anyone who has done it.

Ideally I'd like to keep it on. Reshaping doesn't seem to work well the time I have done it with a heatgun although the material is soft enough to work with. After rolling the fenders some of the lining no longer sits up against the inside lip so it tends to "pop" itself out of position when I do full lock. I'm going to the jy to get a couple of spare liners and do some hacking.

Hamy,
I'm running Progress coilovers.

man, I just let my tires make its own grooves in them

I let my tires make their own groove until I ended up actually ripping the passenger side fender lining out. You can get rid of it. I don't have any problems with water getting in anywhere.

get the proper offset wheels and proper tire size.
with that, no rubbing issues..
