Performance Suggsetions Please.

I bought a 96 GXE 5 spd last year. Fast as mess stock...trying to make it faster. So far I've done a CAI, and an Underdrive Crank Pulley. I plan on getting a totally new exhasut system, all the way from the headers to the muffler. A clutch and flywheel kit, and a short throw shifter. Besides a turbo or supercharger, what are some good performance mods I should look into? Im a maxima noob....please help!

Why not a mevi? Seeing that he probably is going to do it why not the easier one? Come on mr 24000 posts lol

MOHFpro90 02-29-2008 10:00 PM

Because 00VI owns mevi.

I have proof.

kzoosho 02-29-2008 10:11 PM

MOHFpro90 02-29-2008 10:16 PM

NmexMAX 03-01-2008 12:09 AM

chillin014 03-01-2008 07:10 AM

NOt saying its not but not my taste to hack things up.

NmexMAX 03-01-2008 10:21 AM

Well, we all know MEVI = 00VI ^-1, or the other way around, depending on your way of looking at it.

If you know what that means, then you know the difference between them.

I know what you mean. But i was just giving options since some of us dont like the idea of having to irg things up. The mevi is a straight swap.

NmexMAX 03-01-2008 11:04 AM

Ok, so for all intents and purposes, and for the OP, add a VI of some sort.

kzoosho 03-01-2008 11:10 AM

Thats What i am saying. VI which ever one. Dont do a cai nothing really gained but y,b, and muff there ya go.

Ok, I told you I'm a noob. I appreciate the help, but I have no idea what all those abbreviations stand for....what are the respective following mods?-

RSB? FSTB? SFC? 00VI? PFTB? mevi? And what is the 5th gear rear section?

I vote 3.5 VIAS (and accompanying small stuff, like the VQ35 and whatnot) :wall:
