Using some 5th gen parts on the 4th gen

-Parking Brake cable
-Knock sensor harness

Unfortunately my local junkyard doesn't have any 4th gens in at the moment. My car's parking brake cable is severed on the passenger side and I was wondering if the 5th gen p-brake cable is the same and can be used?

I also managed to score a knock sensor and harness off a 2001 with very low miles on it, is that something I could sell in the 4th gen section as well?

No idea if the KS subharness has the right connector on the engine control harness side, though.

As far as the parking brake cables,

Awesome, thanks for the info! If anyone knows about the parking brake cable that would be amazing! It seems like the yard is filled with 3rd gen Maximas and gets quite a few 5th gens in from time to time, but there aren't many 4th gens.

BTW, nice sig image pmohr, I was making that mistake a lot for a while.

As far as the parking brake cables,
iirc im pretty sure that the engine side of that harness will fit. Ive done the same thing that stephan max did with his 5th gen ks and pretty much tore off the outer casing of the ks harness. Kinda the same way you would do the 5th gen ivac on the 00vi swap
