New wheels: will they stick out?

Just purchased the following wheels:
Axis Reverb
18 x 8.5 in
+15mm offset

The place I bought them from claims the wheels will stick outside my fenders by 5-10mm. Is this true? I used this: http://marksink.com/tire_wheel_offset/offset.html and found that my they would be 44mm (1.7 inches) farther out then my currrent wheels (17 x 7 with +40 mm offset). Am I doing this right with the calculator?

Also, what is the stock offset of the 4th gen wheels? I basically would like to know how much these wheels are going to stick out compared to the stock 4th gens so I could measure the difference (currently have stock wheels on)

front wheels should be ~20mm poked, rear should be ~7mm of poke. keep in mind these are millimeters. camber plates in the front and you should have some well fitting wheels.

What black said. I think they'd look sick with the right suspension.

that's like saying "mcdonalds uses grade d beef and you've been eating that all your life, not sure you're gonna like this grade a angus steak".

oem is 40mm btw.

this is rich's (motm) ride on 8.5 +17/10 +22. your front would be +2mm from this and your rear would be a 1/2" (12mm) more sunk in. something else to consider is the spokes of his wheels extend past the lip giving it the illusion of more poke.

it would definitely be an aggressive fitment and would require an aggressive drop to look right, as well as some fender work to be functional. if that's what you're looking for then i'd say go for it. if it was just some cheap wheels then i'd pass.

Thanks for clearing up the stock offset for me.Yeah everybody has their own taste. i would guess you really need to know what your doing when messing with wheel sizes with offsets like that. again, i dont think he would have been stoked about his purchase

once again blackonblack, i can't thank you enough. even better this time with those pics...now i can REALLY visualize it! QNO, you're exactly right. I probably would have been sweating bullets during the installation bc i didn't think they'd stick out that much. Now my next question: do they sell camber plates primarily used now since I don't think any company is producing them for the maxima? Also, I read they might make noise?

I would love to make these wheels work bc they'd eliminate the use of any big wheel spacers (i currently have 25mm spacers in rear) and these 18's are only 20 pounds, axis' hollow spoke technology FTW!

camber plates will have to be bought used afaik (i might be able to get jic plates separately). you might be able to retro a pair off some blown coilovers in the fs section, or the occasional used stillen plates. no options for the rear though.

pillow ***** can get noisy, besides the fact that they transmit more noise to the chassis to begin with they wear down over time. you should be able to get replacement parts though.
