What's your opinion on these rims?

I have a '99 Sterling Mist SE-L with Tokico Illuminas and H-Tech's. I currently have the stock 16" titanium wheels. I saw these rims at a pawn shop today and was wondering how you guys think these would look on my car. Do you think 17" rims would be too small? I've always pictured myself getting 18" or maybe even 19". She wanted $299 for them but she said she'll take $200 right now. What do you think?

This is my car minus the retrofits (the corners are now black and the headlights are AE'd)

The stock rims look better than the ones you are thinking of putting on. I personally like a clean looking rim, but that's just me. The rim looks too busy for the body style of the 4th gen. If you find a more streamline looking rim, I think you will be much happier with the look.

I'll see if I can find a couple to show you what I am talking about.

These are a few styles that I think would look decent on the 4th gen

Eh it's a no.

showdown Nov 3, 2009 03:14 PM

dont do it

maximized98 Nov 3, 2009 03:15 PM

Plus you have to buy tires for it. I personally think that it would ruin the way your car flows

wittynamessuck Nov 3, 2009 03:33 PM

$200? Maybe Buy and flip?

I do agree, doesn't mesh well.

The Wizard Nov 3, 2009 03:54 PM

Width??
Offset??
Weight??
Correct lug pattern???

mrjamaica98mx Nov 3, 2009 04:41 PM

no plz

chillin014 Nov 3, 2009 04:53 PM

man I'd love to have some of those stock 5 spoke wheels.

that black/chrome **** looks gothic to me.

Conrad283 Nov 3, 2009 07:30 PM

If you like them, get them.

If you do get them, make sure they're the correct bolt pattern, as stated above.

HandsonMaxima. Nov 3, 2009 07:54 PM

i would buy those in a second for pretty much any car but my 4th gen.
Keep your stockers or go with a 18" 5 spoke, 5 spokes look the best on 4th gens IMO

defiance Nov 3, 2009 10:42 PM

No way would i put those a Gen 4.5 SE or SE-L, However if I had an older 95 or 96 gxe with wheel covers I would consider it. But only after combing the the yards for stock alloys firstand not finding them.

Those aftermarket rims would look better on a 98-02 Accord V6

cashoit Nov 4, 2009 05:14 AM

yo man..i like em. I wd do it in a heartbeat. Those rims are fly.

With tires, alignment, and installation....u prolly looking @ 700 bucks. Thats a steal for some rims. I wanted 17s that were alloy and it would have cost me 1100 bucks.

If u got the cash do it. They look wayyyyy better than the stock. JMO

shook187 Nov 4, 2009 05:29 AM

Hey man I like them too...I wouldn't go by what some of these on here say.

1997MAXZ Nov 4, 2009 05:58 AM

faux rivets + extra lug pattern options == FAIL

bigpopaj369 Nov 4, 2009 06:02 AM

IMO the rims are tight! but i wouldnt waste the money only going up one inch in size. i would save the cash and get some 18s or 19s.

Looks like it's a 4.5"/ 120mm dual pattern kinda deal.
