I own the world's most jealous Maxima
About 18 months ago when I got a new car, the very next day my otherwise trusty 95 Maxima's transmission died on me on a freeway onramp. Since she realized that I still love her, she's calmed down with no problems.
But now that she knows another car is on it's way, she is starting to act up again which coincidentally started right after I ordered the other car. I had to replace a CV boot already and now I have two new symptoms: 1. She overheated on me the other day. I immediately pulled over and found the radiator empty. Since then I've been looking underneath, but I don't see anything leaking out, but the radiator fluid seems to gradually disappear. Any suggestions? 2. Load creaking/groaning noise from the front driver's side going over bumps. Seems to disappear on the freeway and after she's warmed up. I'm terrified of what she's going to do once she sees another car parked next to her. :mecry: |
on the overheating, problem, check ur oil. is it white ish?
|
creaking is suspension for sure, your strut mounts are prob going out. also check the bushings and struts
|
my maxima started acting up after i got my 240, so i feel your pain
|
everytime i go out with a new girl, same thing. my maxima broke, then when i had my S14, same thing
|

CRAP! As I write this, my spouse is stuck in the rain with a flat tire on the Maxima. The nightmare continues. :bawling: |
If the oil looks milky-ish then your head gasket is leaking which could be where your antifreeze is going..
Enjoy the Porsche! |
O so your wife is driving the max and seeing you with the porsche.... jealousy might the the culprit though there are more than one suspect

If it's burning it, then you've either got a blown head gasket or cracked head. |
i'd say
get rid of that Porsche before the max finds a way to get it out of gear and have it hit a tree or something. o_O
good luck with your problem man. o_O and speaking of problem. i should post up a photo of my cars front body kit, after going 124 MPH on HWY 19 LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL  :D :D :D |

My Maximas all love each other.. replace the porsche with a newer max :)
Does it at least smell like coolant anywhere under the hood? |
My max's also love each other...they get along quite well. They often get jealous of my Solara though lol.
You might have a pressure leak in the rad or rad hoses somewhere that you won't notice since it'll only leak under pressure. |
the headgasket my not be bad.
the waterpump seal could leak internally and mix in with the oil. |
