After a new CV joint

got a 1998, it sat for 6 years before i got my hands on it. all other issues have been fixed but whenever i turn corners i hear annoyingly loud clicking coming from my front ride side, and i've been putting up with the steering wheel vibrating at high speeds (over 90kmh). just looking for any guidance as to where i can get the new parts i need, can ship to australia, comes from nissan and will actually last. not interested in getting someone else to do the job on the car either

It’s my understanding that Rock Auto does, indeed, ship to Australia.

It’s also my understanding that, even with shipping cost, most parts are still less expensive from them, than purchasing them local (local to you, I mean).

I’ve been using Cardone axles (both new and remanufactured) for years with little complaint.

Sounds like you only want OEM Nissan Parts? You're kidding right?

Assuming you have the Touring model with the 3.0 V6 and 4 speed Auto transmission...

Just about everything you'd need to rebuild your OEM CV Axle like new is DISCONTINUED. And if not would be BEYOND stupid money in cost.

Find a Trakmotive (China built) replacement CV Axle complete and be done with it. Trakmotive is a daughter company of Hohn Industries, who make more CV Axle parts for Aftermarket brands than any other. Cardone's best are the same as Trakmotive. When you look at the part numbers by different manufacturers, you'll notice for some reason they all have the same part numbers at the core. It's not a coincidence.

Most likely the right front axle you need is NI-8147, but you need to research that and make sure definitely. Or maybe find a reseller in Japan that sells Japan manufactured aftermarket CV axles for the Cefiro that will ship to you?

Or if you want something better, call places like this in Austrailia: http://australiancv.com.au/products-services/

wasn't aware most of the parts are discontinued but not surprised. I've only had the car for about a year, and it's my first car. still a teenager so learning as I go

For many parts now.... Aftermarket is our only option. Research which give the best reliability and work like the original.

n Japan, they sold the car (the Maxima) as a "Cefiro". The CV Axle should be interchangeable. That might be an option to research.
