Window switch's not lighting up?

Are the window switches supposed to light up when the lights are on? Mine don't but all the window switches work properly. The funny thing is, I'm the original owner of the car and I never remember the switches lighting up.

You've owned your car for nearly fourteen years and you've never questioned this...?

Yes, they're supposed to light up.

To be hoenst with you, I don't pay attention to the courtesy lights. Those only come on when the door opens right? They don't come on when the headlights turn on?

Yes but IIRC, theyre controlled through the BCM. For instance, if you unplug the window switches the courtesy lights would go out.

Thanks, I'll make sure the courtesy lights are working. If they are working would it just be a fuse that is out? Seems strange that all of the door switch lights are out but all the windows roll up and down down normally.
