Smells bad in the cabin... Has anyone ever had smelly gas issues or bad tanks over time/fittings? Can a fitting go bad on top of the tank? How hard is it to drop it to check it out?

Thought u had this problem licked.....gas tank from the JY or try some gasket filler on every freakin opening for the gas tank. Is the filler neck cracked?

I had a problem with the filler tube rusting out. I replaced the rusted section of tube with a piece of hose I bought that is supposed to connect the tank to the filler tube. Do you have any EVAP codes?

Nope the filler tube is fine and every visable tube going to the tank is. I smell it more or so from the backseats of the car. Badly.

So you don't have any EVAP codes? The tank needs to hold pressure for it to satisfy the requirements of the EVAP system. After driving around, like when coming to a gas station, do you hear air escaping as you remove the fuel cap?

if you smell it inside the car. it's possible the cover for the fuel pump access is not sealed properly.
