Hey All:
Might be back in the 4th gen scene as a daily runner replacement to my accord.

Anyhow, are kyb gr2's an oem replacement, or can i use with lowering springs? I remmeber reading years ago that they were similar to the AGX set in a middle setting. Recently I have read some conflicting reports. Can anyone verify?

Thx!

they are stiff.. i didnt like them.. i have the front set if your interested less than 5k miles

They're slightly stiffer than stock and act as more of a stock replacement but can be used with a small drop (wouldn't go past 1.5" drop).

Yep they are like AGX on 2f/4r.

They will work for mild drops with softer rates. I could never dial in Eibachs and AGX. GR2 may made for a bouncy ride with stiff springs. Htechs or Tokico springs would work best IMO.

They are harsh riding and worse in cold weather.

I've been using them for over a year now with no problems. I'm also lowered on progress 1.7/1.6

I have GR2s on my 3rd gen and they ride pretty decent. I plan on getting some GR2s and mating them with some new Progress springs I have laying in my garage

maxspeed springs with gr2's and not an issue. it is a stiffer ride than stock, but what do you expect when lowering closer to the ground??? i.5 front's, and 1.3 rears.

H&R's with GR2's and it rides really nice. Still soft, no bounce, great set up. But a little stiff in winter months.

Im using KYB-GR2 with Eibach 2.0F - .8R and it rides great, not bouncy at all. Stiffer then stock, well of course, Im lowered and wanted a stiffer ride, you can't gain more control and still have a soft ride. Any lowering will be stiffer then stock, don't care what anybody says.
