Also, where is this sound clip? Im now curious to hear it

I had a Budget Y pipe for years as well, never had any issues and it sounded just fine. I sold it to another member and he too seemed to be quite happy with it.
Ive seen more people complain about the warp speed Y pipe then i have about the Budget. Most people seem quite pleased with the Budget Y pipe, as was I.
The sound clip on my page with the custom Magnaflow is my only one, I tried and clamped on a greddy sp1 and it sounded exactly like this magnaflow.

I suggest people start calling in to place order (or get more info on the shipping).

Your on your own now!

In my case, she mentioned that I could just remove my original y-pipe and replace it with theirs. It's an easy fit. It's the same y-pipe they have been selling in the past. She never heard of any complains of loud noises if the rest of the exhaust is there (in my case the cat. converter).

I have a feeling that shipping will be extra....they are taking orders now, just leave your name, phone, city and state, and they will call you back when ready (I didn't give any payments). I think they are waiting to see how many orders come in and decide on shipping. It will be a 3 week wait.

No word on the mufflers yet.

SMH and people complain about companies not making parts for the maxima community.

I might be calling in soon. I really want an equal length pipe though. I'm honestly not surprised they aren't getting many orders. The warpspeed isn't that much different and is cheaper.

If they can make an equal length setup, I will definitely be willing to pay more. Wasn't the first gen stillen pipe equal length and the only reason it sounded horrible was because the actual metal itself was extremely thin?

Lots of threads on how much the price is for a y-pipe and b-pipe. you can get them used here from the org for maybe 80-100 bucks for both pieces if your lucky.. sometimes the y-pipe run between 125 - 200 brand new. and the b-pipe? i dunno.. Just shop around. and welcome to the org. But unless i call out some wrong prices.. someone chime in and guide this person. LOL

I'm gonna call tomorrow and place my order. Come on people, there is a reason that y pipes don't pop up too often in the classified section! Support our supporters!

muffler cost?

Does any one figure out how much cost for a muffler? Will it work with the OEM pipe?

I got my y-pipe from budget and I'm at the garage right now installing it.
The mechanic (who I personally trust), is telling me that the y-pipe doesn't align properly to the two holes... and that he has to cut the pipe a little to make the fit.

I'm wondering if others on the order list has the same problem.

Kenny3344: I'm also in Montreal!

Yeah, it kinda stinks... basically he cut the font of the pipe to weld in an extender. An extra hour of labour.

Quick question:

I have to replace my Y Pipe because it's all rusted (mine is original 98 ypipe) drags when I go up/down driveways.

I can get a Warpspeed Ypipe shipped for $184 Brand new.

Is there a major difference between warp and budget?

I'm not tracking the car. Would just like a bit more HP and also fix the rattle/dragging.

Thanks!

Go with the warpspeed for that price.

Budget is $250 + shipping and I was disappointed that it wasn't a proper fit.

thanks.. looks like I have to tackle the oil leak now first.

I thought it was the OPS but I jacked up the car, changed the oil, filter and OPS at the same time.

With the car jacked up.. (and new oil installed) I started her up.

I started to see the leak.. about 5 inches directly ABOVE the OPS. It drips directly down onto the OPS now.

Ughh.. one thing into another.

I gotta get this fixed (searching on the forums now) and then on to the Y Pipe! Hopefully I'll get to 200hp soon. lol

Any updates in this?

All I can say is that I am VERY happy with my Budget Y Pipe, it's been on my car for over 3 years already.
