OBX sts install

Installed my new obx sts from ebay. Definitely way shorter of a throw then stock and it is a lot stiffer. Also got a carbon fiber shifter **** too.
Did not even have to remove the exhaust, I just dropped it down. There was no way to remove the solid rusted bolts on the exhaust.
Only thing I still have to do is dent down the heat shield a little bit more. The shifter is just hitting it a little bit.

Over all this was a good purchase I would definitely recommend this.

not bad. You should do something with the leather. I think there is a company that sells leather stitching in the company for sale forums. Check there. You can get any color you want.

I think there is only one seller for the obx shifter on ebay.

It was $55 for the shifter and $26 for the ****.

I will probably look around for some new leather, but it is really not a concern for me right now.

Do you have any side views? That still looks very tall for a sts.

The OBX is a really tall STS, it doesn't sit low like the B&M at all. I found out the hard way.

But its height is about 1/2-1" shorter than stock actually, but the throws are considerably shorter than stock. I still wish I cut mine down an inch or 2 more before I put it in, but oh well. Personally, I like the feel better than the B&M, I just wish it was shorter.

I don't even really want it shorter then this. I think our middle council sits too low imo. I had to scoot up the seat a inch or two for this shifter to be comfort to throw it into fith.

The only difference between the stock and the obx is where the pivoting point is.

redlinegoods.com . There is a thread in the classifieds with a discount code that is updated every month or so.

I got an armrest cover and a shifter boot and they are VERY good quality.
