A couple tests for starter issues

Voltage drop is a test of resistance under load, which differs greatly from ohms in a dead circuit. Set you DVOM to Volts and hook up your lead to each side if a connection and apply load. This can show you where a poor ground is, or where a bad cable end is. It can even indicate a bad battery connection. You can connect between the cable post on your starter and the starter body to load test the starter even.

Pull your damn pants up and speak English. Or at least Spanish.

Seriously though, double check your connections. Sounds like you have something unplugged. Was it hard starting, or was it slow cranking? Two very different things. make sure the mating surfaces between engine and trans/ starter and trans are clean. Those are grounding points.
