CEL's both front 02 sensors, knock, and AITS
ok i went to go start the car today and had the CEL light pop up so i do the self-diagnosis and get a 0303-front Front Left Heated O2 sensor, 0304-Knock Sensor, 0401-Intake Air Temp Sensor, and a 0503-Front Right Heated O2 sensor, but the car is running fine.. it rattles a little bit when its first started but is almost instantly cleared up and purring like a kitten and im wondering if there is a common link between them?? are these cars notorious for 02 sensors or what i know have seen a few threads about 02 sensors but nothing too specific maybe my search button is pulling a fast one or something lol any input would be appreciated .. thanks

Of course the car is gonna drive w/o one of the o2's working but it just won't be optimal. You can't go by noise.
It is up to you if you wanna fix it, if it doesn't bother you then leave it alone. |
don't replace the knock sensor first :) replace the 02's and the knock code will ,most likely, be gone.
|
maybe something else causing those codes. What are the chances of both o2 sensors going at the same time.I would reset the computer and see if the same codes come back.Could also be your maf or another sensor going bad causing poor air fuel ratio.Good luck keep us posted.

yeah im going to go the cheapest route possible first.. first the AITS then reset and see if i still get all my codes, then replace the o2s and reset and see if it fixes it if not ehn ill go ahead replace the knock senso but i dont want to do that since its about 130 bucks lol

yeah i KNOW that my AITS is bad bc i had the code for that before i got any other codes so i definitely need to replace that but beyond that it would prolly be easier to change a o2 sensor then it is to change a knock sensor lol

Changed my knock sensor in 20 mins without having to take manifold off. Need a good ratchet, a swivel, and socket extension and a little luck. I found a video on you tube on how to do it.

oh, some guy was having problems with multiple o2 codes as well. check the o2 fuse in the fuse box (left of the wheel), just in case.
|
ill do that today sometime

I finally got around to replacing my knock sensor last week. After trying out a variety of wrenches, the Gearwrench XL X-Beam Flex 10mm wrench for the EGR vacuum solenoid green sensor and Gearwrench XL X-Beam Flex 12mm for KS did the trick in 20 mins. I bought the KS off ebay for $17.89 shipped from Eurasia parts and it's really made a difference, if you've never replaced yours, it won't hurt to do it.
I've haven't had a problems with my knock sensors nor any o2 sensors yet. At one time I thought that was a problem until getting of something else. I use Premium faithfully which helps with sensor performance and the life.... if that make sense :topic: |
