97-99's with Front Lip, how did it fit? (fender seams seal good?)
Hey, I was wondering if any of you had any problems when you test fitted your lip.
I got my lip in the mail and when i tried to put it on, the passenger side of my lip seam did not seal too well (it wasnt too close too the fender), unlike the drivers side where there is NO gap between fender and lip and it is like a perfect fit. my lip was on a fed-ex truck through countless states and was dropped on my door un-packaged, could it have been warped or damaged? (its got scratches all over it) anyone know if the body shop will charge me ~200 for this kind of mod?? |
Did you get your lip from the group buy? Mine came w/o a box so the lip wouldnt be twisted to fit in a box.
The driver side presses right up but like you said, the passenger side is a bit off. I mean it fits and is nice and snugg but there is a little gap. The double sided tape will solve this when you mount it on. |
Sounds like yours fitted exactly like mine did .. Get out a heat gun and give it some heat .. The lip will return to it's original shape under the heat, and it should fit a lot better afterwards. If it doesn't, just keep using the heat gun and bend it to whatever shape your bumper is.

yea i had the same problem use a heat gun to heat up the plastic and get a clamp and clamp it down and it with form to ur bumper
