fog lights not working on 97 gle

I have a 97 maxima gle. It originally did not come with fog lights, however I recently acquired a fog light set, installed them, and plugged the wiring into the fog lights. I also got the oem headlight/fog/turn switch and installed that. I tried turning on the fog lights, they didnt seem to work, the head lights worked and so did the turn lights.
Now before I installed the fog lights I checked the bulbs and they seem to be fine. I also checked the fog light 15A fuse under the hood which was also fine. What else can I check? Please help thanks.

Did you install a fog light relay?

I read about that, but first of all I can't find a fog light relay? Is it suppose to be to the right of ASCD in the relay box? Because I checked in the relay box and I don't see any relay next to it.

Of course you can't find it, you won't be able to until you install it.

No, the relay box on the right fender, upper right:

Thanks, I opened the box and yes I do need to install a fog light relay. Can I just use the horn 2 relay to test if the fog lights turn on?

A tip for Nissan relays, if they're the same color and form factor, they're identical. In this case they're both blue relays, give it a shot.

Hmm thanks thats what i figured, but it didn't turn on.

Is the relay clicking when you turn the foglight switch on? You are trying it with the headlights on, correct?

You really just need to narrow it down to first, is it the control side of the circuit that's failing, or the load side? Basically, is the relay activating? If so, are you getting both power and ground at the foglights themselves?

And don't rule out a bulb that passes a visual inspection, they can easily be blown without anything appearing abnormal.

Thanks, I didnt have my headlights on when I turned the fog lights on as well. Is there any easy way to turn on the fog lights without turning my headlights on?

Except if you do that, your parking lights still have to be on.

I prefer this method, myself:
