No cold air when A/C is on

Recently replaced my front radiator support which was rusted through. Before that just replaced Freon in my A/C after noticing it was blowing only hot air. After I recharged the system was blowing cold as ice. Now after the support work I only get hot air and there is a hissing noise that seems to be coming near the passenger side. Is my condensor shot? If so how much $$$ will it cost to replace? Please advise

I have to admit it has been awhile since I have worked on my AC in my car , but when they replaced the radiator support I would believe they would have removed the condenser. Hence discharging your freon. Do you have Freon gauges? That would be the first thing I would check! As far as the hissing noise I would recheck most of the fitting especially around the condenser.

Thanks for the info, I don't have access to any gauges but I'll take it to my guy to re-do the Freon charge.

If only my fittings were loose as to why I am hearing that noise, the "stealership" wanted to replace my condensor at a cost of almost $1,000.00.

My A/C started to go warm on me towards the beginning of Sept. I hadn't re-charged my Freon for a while and was still getting cold air. I let the stealership charge my A/C recently. I should make that body repair guy reimburse me for letting all my Freon out.

I am going to my check the fittings with a mechanic and save me some $$$.

Thanks for the tip. I am going to look into that. I have a feeling a fitting is loose.
