Won't drive forward-help!

WTF? Driving home from N. Dallas and my car broke down. I pulled over and thought it was just a flat tire. I changed the tire and now I see the problem, my car makes a horrible noise when driving forward. With the front passenger side jacked up I can spin the wheel freely backwards but not forward. The only thing I touched recently on that side was the wheel bearing, but again it seems to spin freely backwards. Any suggestions?

I'm presently waiting for a tow truck to take me to the Nissan dealer in Waco. First day of school tomorrow...FML!!!

Did you actually have a flat tire?

Yes, but it may have been caused by the issue I'm having. The wheel locked up when I slowed down to stop and the tire flat spotted and was deflated.

Sounds like your drive shaft is toast. Check the boot to see if it torn on the drive shaft looks like it popped out.

The car wont drive cause the transmission needs at least some even pressure on both axles to drive.

Well, it wasn't the axle. It was dark and hard for me to tell what was wrong but it was obvious once I got it to the shop. The brake caliper bolts must have been loose and the caliper worked itself loose on the highway and dug into the wheel...gouging a hole into the wheel. A new caliper, wheel, and I'm all good. Now I need to find some new wheels.
