IAT Sensor problem

Hi guys, hows it going. I have something going on with my IAT sensor. i'll start from the begining.

The car was 100% until 3 months ago, the starter went and my dad and i replaced it. hooked everything back up and the starter worked great, but the CEL was on. so i bring it to autozone, they say knock sensor and 3 other things, 1 of them being a loose vacuum hose on the intake. So i fix the vacuum hose and bought my own code reader, and the only code it said was P0110, which i understand is the IAT sensor. I replaced the IAT sensor today, reset the ecu.... and still have a check engine light on, and its still reading code 0110. anybody have any idea how to solve it?

All help is greatly appreciated, Thanks

Did you buy one new or used? If so and it is a known working sensor, then I would inspect the harness.

i bought a new senser. i did notice the plug in attachment to it didnt fit very "snug" on it, so i put some tape on it to keep it in place.
Do you know a part number for the harness?

Thanks Again

I do not think that harness comes separate. You would have to go to the JY and cut one off and splice it in or fix the current one you have. The wires aren't damaged? Its just not staying pushed in? If so, what tape are you using?

My Maxima always has a knock sensor code when i retrieve codes but the CEL is never on for it. Never had any problems with it. Now the IAT code could be just a loose connection or an irregularity in the voltage. I'd say worry about the IAT and fix that first then, if you still have the knock sensor code causing the CEL to light up worry about that.

The wires arent damaged, the plug just has a "loose" grip on the sensor, it can slide back and forth on it, doesn't "lock" in like i think it would. and i used the clear packing tape to hold it in and i wrapped it pretty good.

and the knock sensor only came up the 1 time i had autozone scan it. since i fixed that loose vacuum hose i havent gotten the knock sensor code again. my scanner keeps saying its the IAT, code p0110.
