What's the color code on your front springs?

Appreciate if anyone can take a quick look and let me know. I have a 98 SE and mine have two blue and one purple. Nissan uses marks painted on outside of the coils to identify the springs. The marks are easy to see. If anyone can tell me can tell me what the colors on their springs and their Maxima model I would appreciate it.

Some people say the SE, GLE and GXE use the same springs and others say they do not. I don't want to end up with a softer ride due to putting in the wrong springs.

I just pulled SE suspension off my 98, and I had two light blue marks and one purple mark.

Probably doesn't help much. The GLE and GXE guys would be more helpful, I think.

Thanks, my real issue was if the SE springs are different spring rates than the other models. Most of the information I have seen are they all use the same so I went with standard Moogs springs that are specified for all models.

According to Nissan, auto's and manuals had different springs.

I noticed that. Now that I think of it the Moog springs did not specify auto or manual trans. Oh well they are on their way I'll find out tomorrow when I try and install them.

It will be fine. Aftermarket springs don't make um cuz it is not that big of a difference. I did the auto/manual swap and it was not much of a difference in ride. basically a 150lbs person driving the car vs. 250lbs person.

They will be brand new springs so they should be firmer than the ones that have been on the car for 13 years.

Yup. You should be more than happy.
