I'm ****ed, discovered a few cigarette burns in the max...

This ****ing sucks. I know it wasn't me, first of all I'm not a smoker, 2nd of all I do not sit in the BACK seat of my max, where i found these burns.... I went to the movies yesturday with some friends and some girls who were friends of my friends. They were in the backseat of my car, and they all smoke. I think it was them, ****ing pricks, you give people privilages and they will abuse them!!!! if you smoke and I give you the permission to smoke in my car, then be ****ing careful. It's especially visible in my tan cloth.. My interior was nearly spotless before this. Damn it. it's like 3 burns overall......

Anyone have an idea or any advice on how I can get rid, or at least reduce the look of the burn???? It's in cloth seats, which sucks a lot. ****, i need to be more strict about this.... :(

Craig Mack Dec 26, 2001 09:07 PM

Damnet bro! My friend wanted to smoke a B&M in my Max and i was like NO! He's gotten chocolate and smoothie in my carpet. Lucky I got it out fast. I'm tan interior like you.

My advice is try to get some resolve or some cleening solvent (maybe a steam-cleaner) and get it out as best you can.

You mean they actually used your interior to tap off their ash !?!? That ****es me off.

Sprint Dec 26, 2001 09:20 PM

hookers are usually smokers :D did you check under the seat where the fuel pump is for used condoms?

You are one horny b@stard.

Had the same dam problem. (marines are some Dam Smokers) all I did was go to the dealership and have there "specialists" fillin the holes with some synthetic crap.......quite noticable to the owner (YOU!!) but "guests" barely notice the touch up unless you tell them. Try it....you might find it a comfortable solution.

Yeah man, what the hell... In my 93 SE, I had a bunch of burns everywhere, but it was charcoal / black cloth interior so it wasn't as noticeable.. had one guy barf on the backseat, then another guy spilled a bottle of colt 45 or a heineken, i don't remember, right in the passenger seat footwell... He wasn't drinking it when i was driving and I was not even aware of him having a bottle, let alone an open bottle in the cabin. He just placed it in the footwell and forgot it, then i started smelling alchohol while driving and he is like "oh sh*t, i forgot about it, my bad". A$$hole!!!! I rather have them puke then burn ****. I don't know how it happened whether they flicked ash on the seat or used it to ****ing put out the damn thing, still, how do you burn 3 holes!!!!!!!!!!!! I will take some pics tomorrow.

Mr. Sprint: They were not Hookers.... hookers charge $, with these girls all you have to do is ASK :D

NO ONE can smoke, drink, or eat in your car. Maybe under SOME circumstances if its like your mother or girlfriend and its water, but other than that NADA!

...people need to have more respect...especially if its a maxima...

thank you for kicking that flava in my ear :D.. wise words.

I am now contemplating stiching signs into my headrests and passanger visor, with rules for Backseat passangers on how to behave in my car, something like this:
1- Do not drink anything unless you are on the verge of dying of thirst, even in that circumstance only regular water in plastic bottles is allowed..
2- Do not eat.
3- Do not smoke anything.
4- do not put on make up, unless you are so ugly you might frighten the fock out of me when i glance in my rear view mirror.
5- Do not leave prints on the windows with your dirty hands.
6- do not sit in the middle of back seat if you are over 5 feet 7 inches tall.
7- Do not attempt to throw or spill anything out the window while the car is in motion as you might end up getting it all over the side of my car and then i will have to stomp the soul out of you and make you lick it all off.
8- do not leave your garbage in my car.
9- do not talk while i'm driving.
10- Do not argue with me.

Capitone, I never heard of that before, I need to get some touch up paint at the dealer and some spare filters so I'll ask about fixing these burns there as well. thanks.

At least these people were invited into your car. At a show once, I had a 300lb guy just jump into one of my brand new race seats. And then a half hour later, this family shows up, and the kids just get into my seats and open up their cokes. I ask them to get out, and their parents look at me like I'm being rude. Keep in mind, this was at a car show and my car was spotless after being detailed.

That sucks, my friend puked unexpectively, we were driving on a fairly busy road and all of the sudden it hit him so he is trying to open the door, I slow down and put on my hazard lights, but in the 3rd gens there was a problem with the door locks, lol. Sometimes the unlock button wouldn't react, so he is sitting there jerking the handle trying to force the door open and holding his mouth with the other, then I reached around and opened the door for him but by then he already had a good bunch on the seat and floormat.

I dont' know what "spray barf" is, but i do NOT want to find out :slant: One of my other friends puked in my another guys Mazda Millenia on the move, missed the window and got it all inside the car  He had to pay 80$ to get the interior cleaned up lol

If anyones comes into MY car, THEY'RE cleaning it up, the dorty bar-stewards. :naughty:

Scruit Dec 27, 2001 10:31 AM

I don't smoke, but I don't judge either - to each their own.

BUT nobody smokes in MY CAR!!! The smell of a smoker walking past my office after getting some "fresh air" (y'right) is bad enough, but having that smell linger in my upholstery is grounds for some serious arse-kicking.

Many moons ago, my mum borrowed my car with new Leather seats and everything for a week of commuting, and ignored/forgot about my pleading for her not to smoke in it. Freakin' thing stank of smoke for MONTHS!!! :bawling:

BTW, any smokers out there who think a non-smoker cannot tell you just stubbed one out 30 minutes ago from 10 yards away - I got news for you... Nuff'said.

Take them to court and make them pay for it. Then buy leather from leatherseats.com :=)

Why wouldn't you take them to court? F*CK them. You have nothing to lose if you do and you will win most likely.

 # 4 and 6 could definatley prove usefull for ground rules. Most of the burns I have are from hot ashes flying back into the window....as for #4...lets just say there are some Ugly Marines on my base

Im not sure if this specialists was unique to the dealership I got my car from, but a friend of mine who owns a Honda had it done to to his car through his dealership. Matter of fact, he was the one who suggested I ask my dealership if they do the same. Look around, Im sure you'll find something.
