Is my auto f'ed again?
Sup org,
Ok so I went to the 1/4 mile an ran my car 2 times once with the (I thought) DR unplugged I guess it wasn't the DR but it shifted different and the SES light came on but no o/d light the code was for solenoid a high resistance or something of the sort So now it slips in first and has no tcc at all also when cold it slams the 1-2 shift I searched and searched for 2 day and found it may be a solenoid pack assemble and there is a tsb My question to you is... Does this sound feasible or do I have to replace my trans Any help is greatly appreciated THANKS ORG :D |
prolly the shift solenoids my man.
If tha car was locked in a single gear then i wd say the tranny is f'ed. but since the car still shifting then its prolly just the shift solenoids. However, replace the entire tranny with used tranny will be cheaper than buying a new shift solenoid assembly. |

What did you unplug?

I thought it was the drop resistor but I think it was the 1st line pressure solenoid
Would a bad solenoid cause a slip on 1 st? It goes away if I baby the car and doesn't exactly know when to shift |

It's odd that you're having that problem then because that is the drop resistor. And for you to only run twice with it unplugged shouldn't have damaged your tranny.

If I don't hammer on it the trans won't slip it runs the same as always aside from not having a TCC Ima just replace the solenoids
Thanks to everybody for your help |
