Help on finding some lowering springs

So I have my 98 max but a lot of people are telling me to lower it and yes I agree with them, the only problem is that I don't know what brand is good and what height is best. Now for my question, I was wondering if the members from here could help me to find some good ones and that lower it enough and if y'all can, please post up pictures of your lowered maximas so I can see which ones are good, thanks ^_^

Here's an image and if y'all need better ones please let me know so I can go take so new ones.

if your budget isnt low (only skimmed what you wrote) go with D2 coilovers I love mine. I'm lowered 2 inches in the back and 2.5 in the front.

H&R - Nice stance, nice ride - My sig pic.
Eibach - Sporty tight feel
Progress - Right in the middle

My sig pic has Tein S-Techs on KYB AGX
Currently I have H&R on Tokico Iluminas. The ride is nicer on the H&R but looks nicer on the S-Techs. GL

does it scrape?

ampire 09-23-2011 08:20 PM

Tein S techs and tokico illuminas are a popular setup, the s techs are so aggressively low that the illuminas are basically the only strut that can handle them, lowers it about 2.25".

Thats what I had on my car.

Subframe? Very rarely. Eibach's aren't the lowest springs can go. They're somewhat in the middle and are stiff springs.

I have Eibach Pro Springs, yes they are stiff but do not give you the visual appeal for the lowered look.

Every time I look at mine, I regret not getting Coil overs.

Do yourself a favor and get coil overs. You will be truly be content with them!

Used on the forums would probably be your cheapest bet.

They're better than those S-Techs.

xWTFxREALLYx 09-23-2011 09:30 PM

Around how much would I have to spend for the coil overs?

It seems as if the OP doesn't want to go that low.

xWTFxREALLYx 09-23-2011 09:39 PM

Eibachs are good if you're meticulous about performance but don't provide the best ride. Nor do they give the lowest drop.

If you can, get coilovers

beatdown97 09-24-2011 07:46 AM

i have dropzone struts and i like them but still riding 4x4 style with stock springs. i found some ksport coilovers on a ebay store for 400. anyone else know about dz struts

Its amazing how many people don't search first, I've seen a number of threads like this in the past.

barrylaud 09-27-2011 07:14 AM

If you put on the right set of wheels/tires the Eibach Pro work/look awesome. I had Eibach / KYB AGX combo for years. Went back to stock. With Eibach Pro it would drop that 4x4 look just enough. It would tighten that fender / wheel gap down to about 2 inches.

I do have a set of Eibach Pro if your interested. They're in great shape, PM if your interested.
