If you want to go even lighter, Llumar makes this tint I found called Air Blue. It's 80%, and they claim that it will actually improve your visibility, due to it's optical clarity and low reflectivity because of it's nano ceramic technology, and blocks 99.9% of UV rays. It was designed to put on windshields so it wouldn't restrict visibility at night time, so I don't see why you couldn't put it on your front windows.

Here's a pic I found with it installed on side windows, and it looks like it's an overcast day. It's so light, I don't see how you couldn't get away with having it on.

cool story bro. i bet you really showed that cop...

No one else has suggested this but lighten up the rears with 20% or what the front windows are. That lets a lot more light in and doesn't look quite as dark.

I have 15% all around and a beige interior and I've only been pulled over once for it once and never ticketed. It looks lighter in the sun, streetlights, and headlights.

The OP lives in NJ, and you're not allowed to have any window tint on the front windows, that's why I suggested going with 50%, or even the Llumar 80% which I posted a pic of. Going with lighter in the rears will help, I understand what you're saying there.

just pull back a little from the bottom of each side and say its starting to roll off. me and my dad do it to his truck every time he gets a ticket. he just won't learn from his mistakes.

My max has 35% all around. UT state law is no darker then 45% in the front and as dark as you want in the back.

Because my interior is black it darkens the inside even more at night or dusk. Almost makes them look %20 or darker.
