OEM replacements? Or slight lowering?

styliztik 06-07-2012 10:05 PM

slight lowering. it's their springs too. I believe 1.25" all the way around. could be lower, but for $150 for these BNIB, I'm not complaining. lol

Amerikaner83 06-07-2012 10:06 PM

not at all...that's a damn good deal!

I'm thinking of illuminas with springs, and their kit is 700

VisciousMo 06-07-2012 10:10 PM

I had that kit on my car, handles well. drop is moderate

schmellyfart 06-07-2012 10:12 PM

Damn $150 is a steal!

I used to run Illuminas with Tokico springs, no complaints about that setup at all.

styliztik 06-07-2012 10:13 PM

yeah, I was dying for a new suspension,my strut mount bushings are gone and I needed motivation to change them hahah.

ChrisMan287 06-07-2012 10:15 PM

Not bad.

Rods03Max619 06-07-2012 10:37 PM

19GLE97 06-08-2012 04:59 AM

definetly wanna see after pics, im looking at getting those next year

jholley 06-08-2012 06:52 AM

Where the hell did you get that for only $150? When I paid $387 two years ago I thought I was getting a bargain. It drops 1.25" in the front and 1" in the rear.

a friend of mine's dad had a 97 max, and right after he bought the set up, we had a nasty hail storm(storm was a couple years ago, I think. any phoenix members can correct me if I'm wrong) and it turned his max into a golf ball on wheels. so he sold the car, and told his son, that's in the car scene, to just get rid of them.

in a nutshell, he gave his son the set up for free, and the son, my friend, sold it to me for $150. lol

maxxxdout 06-08-2012 10:11 AM

Amerikaner83 06-08-2012 10:21 AM

You...lucky...bashtard

ColombianMax 06-08-2012 11:09 AM

excellent price!

snowman89 06-08-2012 11:48 AM

Moar low.. But killer price!

ShocknAwe 06-08-2012 11:54 AM

maxxxdout.....thats not your sig pic is it? Gotta resize if it is.

Anyways, thats a steal and a half lol it would still be a good deal for the set-up for just 1 corner.

Americaner, if you see this, get the ground control system. You wont regret having some adjustability

I'd only run Ground controls with a set of shortened Konis.

damn good deal for sure! you could even pay for installation and it might still be less than a new set!! i was gonna buy this set new but 1.25" is not enough

i just bought a set of the illuminas and s-techs (2.2f 1.8r) from maxfever1987 barely used for $550, should be picking it up at the border in a week! check his for sale threads, he's got part outs from nice maximas every couple of weeks/months. he's truly the maxima parts guy !

styliztik 06-08-2012 11:33 PM

Yeah. I bought this for a car that I really don't want to keep. Not that I don't love my car, it just has too many problems and I don't have the time to fix it :( but this will be one problem eliminated :)

Beginners setup

atriuum 06-09-2012 09:09 PM

Gotta' start somewhere. This is not a bad way to begin. You can always change it up, but at 150 it would noob to pass it up.

Can anyone confirm these are what Tokico springs look like? They don't have any writing or anything on them but that purple paint
