HELP : Rounded off the tensioner pulley bolt

I was replacing a belt that sheared off on my 98 and was going to loosen the tensioner bolt (not the adjustment one) and its rounded off. Its right next to the frame so I cant get a socket on it, only a wrench.

All I can think to do is get a file on it and make some new sides??? any other thoughts????

loosen the adjustment screw on top completly and push thenpulley all the way, than take off the 2 12mm bolts at the bottom and the one 12mm bolt at the top, once you do this the entire pulley assembly comes off from the engine block, once you have it off from the engine you can try filing the bolt of see if a socket will fit on it,

you can tap it with a hammer and it will move slightly, just tap it continously it will move i have done this several time for ppl who rounded their bolts before, rather than an open wrench an 14mm gear wrench worjs better in areas like this

haha

Some times using a 12 point wrench might be helpful rather than a 6 point, you must have rounded it off real bad,

go to auto zone and tell them you need a bolt extractor to rent. remove the pully and remove the nut on a bench, table whatever you have then toss it over your shoulder and replace it
